Some believe that storks bring children, but one of such birds brought a huge bill for services to Polish researchers mobile communications.

In April 2017, scientists from the environmental company EcoLogic equipped a bird named Kayka with a GPS tracker with a SIM card and released into the wild. Specialists intended to track his path migration and wait for the bird after wintering, however, these plans do not was destined to come true. Flying 6000 kilometers, Kayka was in Sudan and lost his tracker there. And one of the locals just picked up the device and removed the identification module from it subscriber.

Unknown resourceful African, apparently, inserted found card in your cell phone and started using it by for its intended purpose, that is, for conversations and Internet access. IN ultimately, the Sudanese spoke over the phone for the amount equivalent to 200 thousand Russian rubles! Unfortunately, the Poles were forced to pay the entire bill to the mobile operator, since SIM card was registered to one of the employees “EcoLogic”. Of course, this fact greatly upset environmental researchers, however, according to scientists, they are no less saddened by the fact that they lost touch with the feathered favorite.
