In Peru, a woman who is considered the youngest mother died for the whole existence of mankind. At the time of the death of Lina Medina was eighty-two years old. And she gave birth in 1939, being a five year old girl.
In those distant years, the five-year-old Lina was brought to the hospital parents who did not understand what was happening with their child whose abdomen suddenly grew. Doctors thought the girl had some kind of a tumor, but it turned out that she was just pregnant, and already on seventh month.
Lina Medina gave birth to a boy on May 14, 1939, gave birth through Caesarean section. The child was completely healthy, he weighed almost three kilograms. Young mother called her boy Gerardo, this name he received not by chance, but in honor of the doctor who helped him to be born – Gerardo Lozada.

The story of Lina Medina is considered unique in medical practice, since the girl didn’t just give birth at five, she first of all somehow managed to get pregnant and normally tolerate her a child. And at the time of pregnancy, Lina was quite ripe a woman. The fact that her menstruation appeared at eight months, and the mammary glands began to develop from the age of four.
Gerardo’s son grew up a normal and healthy man, though he died in relatively young age – at forty years old. She died a venerable old woman, never opening the secret of who was the father of her son Gerardo. The fact is that spontaneous division of female cells without a male chromosome it’s simply impossible, therefore there is a case of not only rare a medical phenomenon, but also evidence of pedophilia.
At one time, experts made assumptions that the girl became rape victim of a man from the tribe in which she lived parents, and, possibly, a victim of some ritual rites. IN In any case, Lina Medina turned out to be, and remained so (obviously, forever), the youngest mother of our planet.
