Australian park rangers were surprised to the depths souls when discovered a few weeks ago a three-eyed snake on Outback – sparsely populated inland district of Zeleny continent.

Unusual rhombic python, nicknamed Monti (in honor of of the legendary British comedian group Monty Python), was found in surroundings of the town of Hampti-Doo in the Northern Territory. Length The three-month-old reptile was about forty centimeters.

The rangers took the unusual snake with them and handed it wildlife experts. The latter were astounded the outlandish appearance of the animal is no less than those who found it. It turned out that the extra eye on the forehead of the python is full and quite seeing, which is a huge rarity for the likes of mutants. In all likelihood, the reptile acquired such defect at the embryonic stage of development.

Unfortunately, Monty passed away last week and his remains were placed in a branch of the State Association of Scientific and Applied Research in Darwin. Scientists believe that python is not looking at a serious mutation, lasted surprisingly long, why even caught people. In nature, such deviations in development animals are usually quickly “destroyed”, leaving no traces.
