A resident of the former Ukrainian Dnepropetrovsk (now the Dnieper) voluntarily handed over to the local museum a Polovtsian stone woman, whose age is about a thousand years. Former owner antiquity believes that the statue is damned and brings misfortunes. But historians cannot be glad that the statue will replenish the largest collection of ancient stone in Ukraine sculptures.
Vyacheslav acquired a historical landmark several years ago. For a song they brought her to a man tramps. Ukrainian gave the statue is the name of Matilda, because in his opinion it was like stone woman, and set it as decoration on his homestead. Museum staff studied the statue and grinned, realizing that in fact, she does not represent a woman, but a man-warrior: he you can see weapons, a helmet and even a stone mustache. Specialists put forward the assumption that we are talking about a posthumous monument prominent Polovtsian – a representative of the nomadic people of the Turkic origin.
Ancient statues in the house – unfortunately

Staff cultural and historical institutions do not hide that immensely happy like a gift. According to them, many such idols without a trace disappear in private collections and most often collapse under open air.
Historians are convinced that their museum statue is no misfortune will bring – there are also more dangerous from a mystical point of view exhibits. Local archaeologist Alexander Starik confirms that storing such artifacts at home is undesirable, however in relevant institutions their negative energy, figuratively saying, canned, mixed with the energies of others of such exhibits of the museum and can no longer hurt anyone. that stone women from one to four meters high installed on the mounds ancient peoples, for example, Scythians and Polovtsy.
