Scientists from Toronto found microorganisms living in the waters of the mine Kidda (Canada). These microbes were not previously known to science.

Detected microorganisms are able to absorb chemical substances that occur when water interacts with around the rocks.

As scientists have found, the microorganism retains soy life activity even in the absence of oxygen and sunlight. According to researchers, this scientific discovery will allow find out how life was formed on our planet and whether it is capable of withstand harsh conditions on other planets.

The metabolism of these microorganisms has slowed significantly due to small amount of energy received. In this state, they able to survive for millennia, without changing.
