U.S. Risky Experiment

In the history of mankind, experiments have been quietly done, which could even lead to the death of our civilization. To them, for example, include some of Nikola Tesla’s experiments. It’s no coincidence that the scientist himself frightened by the consequences of his discoveries, he stopped the experiments and even destroyed all documents and evidence.

Similar experiments include the Starfish Prime project. United States of America, implemented in 1962. Based that our blue planet is surrounded by a magnetosphere, which protects the Earth from radioactive solar wind, the US decided find out what will happen if suddenly in this magnetosphere (why is it?) an atomic bomb explodes. In carrying out such a risky there was a military interest in the experience – the search for the most effective way interception of Soviet nuclear missiles, that is, on space orbit.

Initiated explosion of a thermonuclear head with a power of 1.4 megatons at an altitude of four hundred kilometers above the level of the Pacific Ocean (Johnston Atoll) was visible in the Hawaiian Islands – beyond one and a half thousand kilometers. In addition, the magnetic pulse emanating from from an explosion, damaged telephone communications and electrical lighting.

But the worst thing is that this over-risky experiment led to the formation of a radiation belt in the lower Earth orbit (held almost five years) and caused damage to almost a third of all artificial earth satellites available at that time. It could be worse, many scientists say …
