Despite the fact that the ability to do homework normally for many children is something taken for granted, 12-year-old Victor Martin from the Peruvian city of Moche, alas, cannot boast of such a privilege. The Internet got a video on which this teenager fulfills the lessons he had given him at school on the sidewalk under a lantern. Our hero’s family is too poor to afford lighting, but because after sunset the boy is forced to leave to do lessons on the street.
The video below is uploaded locally cops flew around many sites, collecting millions of views and hundreds of comments. According to law enforcement, they noticed Victor at the end of last month, looking at recordings from the street surveillance cameras. At first, the guardians of the law considered this suspicious, but then looked at the frames more carefully and understood: the child uses the light of a lantern to read textbooks and make notes in notebooks.

Touched by the boy’s determination and desire no matter how to get an education, the police posted a video in social networks “Facebook”, and soon it became “viral”, spread over the many resources of the World Wide Web. Upon hearing this, local journalists found the teenager and talked with him, as well as with his loved ones. It turned out that there is no family in the house and there was never electricity, so after dark these Peruvians light candles.
However, their weak light is not very suitable for reading and letters, especially since candles also cost money, and in the evening to our the hero has to leave the house to do homework under the lantern. They ask a lot at school, but the 6th grader still manages to study at “excellent”. Victor grazes sheep every day, which forces him to postpone homework for the evening. Another teen in his place, perhaps, he would have spat on his studies and resigned himself to a fate a shepherd, but Martin does not want to voluntarily lose the opportunity to get an education.
The story of the Peruvian boy teaches us to be thankful and loving
The story of the student became so popular that Victor’s house visited the mayor of Moche, who promised to bring electricity here and personally pay family bills for energy. It is worth noting that more five percent of the townspeople live here without light. Local authorities try to solve this problem, but widespread poverty in Peru impedes progress.
This case makes us think about what we accept as due to many things that others can only dream of accept without any gratitude to fate, and even sometimes complain about her. No wonder the wise say that when you feel bad, remember those who are even worse at that moment and rejoice. By the way, such approach to life (to see good in everything, and always live with thanks) allows a person to develop rapidly, and therefore to be successful and happy. Think about it …
