In the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were born unusual twins. A resident of the country gave birth to two boys who, however, have different fathers. This phenomenon is extremely rare and has been documented no more ten times in the history of medicine.
Nguyen Thi Nga, Director of the Center for Genetic Analysis in Hanoi, told local media that at the beginning of the month in their clinic turned citizen who wanted to test deoxyribonucleic acid twins born to his wife. Specialists took a swab from a Vietnamese and kids and performed DNA matching analysis. As a result, it turned out that the spouse is not were mistaken: a man became the father of only one of the boys, at that time how one woman became the matter of both newborns.
In medicine, this phenomenon is called hetero-paternal superfoundation. It’s about fertilizing two eggs in one ovulation period with sperm of two men.
