Imagine this picture: the bride and groom are lying in a coffin, surrounded by witnesses and guests, while the clergyman holds wedding ceremony … Well or such: the groom with joyful excitement waiting for her beloved near the church – and then rolls up to the porch a black coffin under a veil depicting death with oblique …
It seems that it might be more ridiculous to have a wedding in a coffin, however such events are being held more and more often these days. What encourages people to such a “wedding extreme”? May be, the desire to stand out against the backdrop of traditionally fun festivities? Or the belief that a similar ritual promises spouses in the future happiness? Or maybe the love for the terrible that did not pass with age stories? .. And in general – how did it all begin?
Wedding in the coffin
The tradition of marrying in a coffin appeared in Thailand and over time it becomes more and more popular there. You can assume of course, that some young couple once had a jump in as a result of which there was a shocking precedent … However, the local modern monks without reservation hold such extravagant ceremony, moreover, in a large metropolitan temple! They are believe that since life and death invariably go side by side, marriage in a coffin means the desire of two loving people to be together both in life and in death. The number of people who want to get married in Thailand in this way especially great on Valentine’s Day. About a dozen pairs at the same time comes to the temple on Valentine’s Day, and the monk takes turns holds a ceremony with them. Lying in a pink coffin, young people with pleasure listen to his words.
Moreover, as confessors, couples who marry in the coffin is actually happy in family life at least no case of divorce of such marital unions.
Coffin bride

I must say that for many years the woman worked in the morgue as an embalming corpse and, Of course, I got used to the gloomy attributes of the funeral. It is also possible that this peculiar profession left a certain imprint on her sense of humor, who knows?
The fact is that the wedding day was appointed Jennifer and numerous guests are invited. And then the bride I wanted to make them remember this triumph for a long time. Jennifer thought of buying a black coffin, in which lay down in a white wedding dress. Her brother took part in dubious raffle and delivered the coffin to the church where the bride with impatiently awaited guests.

From what they saw, people were horrified. When is the coffin lid opened and from it appeared “young” satisfied with the effect, those present were literally seized by shock! The only one who knew about Jennifer’s intention was her fiancé, whom she graciously warned the day before. Do not do it to anyone who knows how to survive he would have been such a shock. Making sure guests are not rated by her dignity “brilliant humor”, the bride did not repent at all, but, on the contrary, she laughed heartily …
It’s good that weddings in a coffin do not become mass, consider conservatives. Such wedding ceremonies have a positive effect on the formation and strengthening of the family, psychologists say. Turns out that weddings in a coffin, like the school of the afterlife, burying a person into the ground for a certain effect of purification (there are such practices), are beneficial, and have a negative effect of only one the reason that people in the general mass are not used to such an extreme. However, what is better in this case than a wedding in the air or under water? Not to mention some demonic wedding ceremonies. Must to believe that in the future people will still appreciate “grave” marriage …
