Chief Vampire – Dracula
By far, the most famous “hero” of the vampire epic is the count Dracula, or Vlad Tepes, nicknamed the “bloody”. According to historical chronicles, Vlad was characterized by sadistic inclinations with early childhood. Perhaps the legendary ruler of Wallachia suffered all the same unexplained disease?
Therefore, it is no coincidence that Vlad Tepes became the prototype of Dracula – the central figure of the famous Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”? However, it is not clear why it was his author who chose the role ruthless bloodsucker?
In the novel, Stoker very reliably described the possessions of Dracula-Tepes and dungeons where prisoners were imprisoned. It is very strange that the author is so accurately depicts palace dungeons, because at the time of writing books he could not see the drawings of the building and the underground passages of Vlad: they were inaccessible to the public. Even described in the novel the ceremonial hall is exactly the same as the Tepes ballroom. I wonder from what sources the author of the book drew inspiration, already classic? ..
