Twenty-four-year-old Laura told experts that from an early childhood suffers from a severe form of depression that prevents her think of nothing but death. The girl has undertaken several times suicide attempts, however they were unsuccessful due to fear physical pain. Then the Belgian voluntarily became a patient local psychiatric hospital, however doctors failed rid her of depression.
The debate over possible euthanasia lasted about three years. Health officials opposed this argued that Laura is not disabled and does not have any serious bodily diseases. Doctors who decided to meet the girl, managed to prove that mental the patient’s health is in terrible condition, and another way out except for the cessation of life, the unfortunate, unfortunately, has no: to cure from depression it is simply impossible with the current level of medicine.
The girl told reporters that she tried unsuccessfully ignore depression and lead a normal lifestyle.
