This mystery of history would not have happened if American Jack Nelson did not want vegetables from his own garden. Mysterious artifact I would continue to lay myself in the ground and would not disturb the minds of pundits, but also did not question the course of human history. But this one an amazing object was nevertheless brought to light. So that later a little time to get lost forever.
In 1927, Jack Nelson took a shovel and went to dig land from yourself on a site located in Minnesota. More precisely – in a small village called Rosier (or Roseau). is he digging for myself and digging, when I suddenly noticed a strange pebble that didn’t It was like ordinary ones, because it clearly wore traces of processing.
Jack was not too lazy, picked up the find and cleaned it from the ground. Oval the stone was very small, with a diameter of only five centimeters. FROM one side on it was carved a semblance of human faces around which the ribbon curled, either with a pattern, or with some inscription in an unfamiliar language.

Destroyed relic
This is not to say that Jack was too surprised at his find. His and before I came across different interesting things on this site: shards, then ancient arrowheads, then stone hammers. it and it is clear – the site was on the site of an ancient Indian settlement. However, the new stone was not at all like the old ones. finds. So Jack put it in his pocket and decided to show it to a specialist.
It turned out to be John Jager from Minneapolis, a famous American anthropologist and specialist in ancient texts. Nelson brought Jager his find, but he couldn’t decipher the inscription and asked leave this stone to him for research. Jack agreed and most deprived of scientific rest for as many as 15 years!

A pebble, which at the place of discovery was called Rosier’s stone, turned out to be not at all simple! Having carefully studied it, Jager came to startling conclusions. He wrote in his diary: “This inscription was made before the Greek and Egyptian civilizations. She is even older Sumerian, considered the first civilization on Earth in IV-III millennia BC. And more ancient than Chatal-Hyuk in Anatolia, considered the ancestral home of all mankind in the V millennium BC era. ”
Is this really the face of the old Russian god?
Most of all, the scientist sought to decipher the text, engraved on a rosier stone. He managed to single out several individual words from the tape, but he could not read them. Though compared the inscription with ancient writing samples collected from all over the world.
The only assumption that Jager ultimately made is the authors of the text on the stone were some mythical “Argonauts.” By John’s opinion, they spoke an ancient language that was “mother” all other future languages and dialects. Jager called him Euro-Afro-Asian. “It was spoken and written by the first people on Earth – the owners of the ocean, who swam around the world, “- concluded scientist.
Most of Jager’s colleagues with whom he shared his theory, they called him a dreamer. Only two scientists from Minnesota the university became interested and decided to join the study Rosier stone. These were professor of anthropology Dr. Jenks and his colleague, professor of geology Dr. Stoffer. But the methods that they elected, were extremely unsuccessful. Scientists deciding to clear surface from accumulated plaque, left a stone for some time in an acid bath. However, the acid corroded not only the dirt, but and the inscription!
Jager was very upset. Of course, the inscription was many times copied, but the unique stone itself was damaged. We can say how the artifact was completely destroyed. But what else worse, after the death of the scientist in 1959, the remains of the stone, as well as all materials about a unique artifact.
Translation difficulties
Perhaps a stone, first lost in the land of Minnesota, and then in the archives of the University of Minnesota, it would have perished if if it weren’t for Chris Paytnaud, who studied ancient history North American continent. Once this researcher, rummaging through a university library, accidentally stumbled upon a folder Jager. Almost automatically she looked into her and found there pictures of the Rosier stone along with materials on it research.
The photos were very clear, so the inscriptions could be good to consider. What Chris Paytnaud did. To her right away the inscriptions seemed to remind her of something. She remembered that I saw very similar ones and that they were made in Russian. it so struck her that she, having dropped all affairs, took up a stone Rosier in earnest.
Paytnaud immediately wrote to her Russian counterpart Vladimir Pakhomov, who, although he was a mathematician, not a historian, could help decipher the inscription. Of course, if Chris guesses about language was true. “It’s a shame that he himself disappeared,” she wrote. “After all, today with the help of modern technology, we could even restore erased image. ”
“One glance was enough for me to understand: before me the text is in Russian, ”Vladimir Pakhomov later recalled. -That just some words that are easy to read if you look closely: YARA LIK, BEACON, TEMPLE OF YARA, WE ARE FROM YARA RUSSIA. ”

To say that Chris Paytnaud was shocked by his answer means to say nothing. The inscription really appeared in Russian language, but where did it come from in America ?! Who made it and why? A most importantly, how he did it so many centuries before Cyril and Methodius?
Many questions arose immediately. But it became clear why Jager could not decipher the inscription. He certainly didn’t even think about such a “young” language as Russian, matching the inscription exclusively with ancient scripts.
However, even if he thought about the Russian language, he is not so easily recognizable in the inscription on the stone Rosier. “For example,” I “almost without hind leg, it can only draw the imagination of the researcher, who knows Russian well, ”Pakhomov is sure.
Pagan lighthouse
The news that an ancient stone was found in America with Russian inscription, in our country, many were received with huge interest. Alas, most of these interested were amateur historians or supporters of the so-called alternative story.
Notorious Valery Chudinov, Director of the Institute ancient Slavic and ancient Eurasian civilization public RANS organization, immediately announced that the Rosier stone is another proof that the history of Russia did not begin at the time Scythians, and many millennia earlier. And what in those days when mankind was one people, it spoke the same language – Russian. Some even believe that the Slavs could be discoverers of the Americas.
Some researchers do not risk making such a sensational conclusions and put forward other, however, no less controversial theories. About, that a stone could have entered Minnesota by accident. For example, was presented once the Americans were Russian emigrants. Or stolen from them, and then passed from hand to hand until a donkey in Native American lands.
Another version is that the artifact was made in America immigrants from Alaska. And used as a “beacon” – that is, pointing stone. The question arises: what did he point out in such case?
Proponents of the theory of the “lighthouse” believe that the stone directed all Wishing to the sanctuary of the ancient Russian deity Yar. And the face on Rosier’s stone – this, in fact, is his image.
Evidence of contacts with Russians who brought with them to America their faith in a god or goddess named Yar (Yara), these researchers believe the Native American myth of the beautiful Yar, in which the owner of the rivers and lagoons fell in love – a giant snake. The spirits of the mountains saved Yara from a snake and made a goddess-keeper of nature. In the language of the Indians there is a stable expression “place of Yara”, which they denote Beautiful places.
The authors of this theory believe that once they could be in temples of the same Russian Yara or Yar. Official science in no hurry comment on these theories. A pity, because the clue of the images on a stone Rosier would be interesting to many people interested history.
Perhaps historians believe that since the stone itself is lost, then there’s nothing to talk about, but after all there is evidence and documentary materials that continue to excite minds like any unsolved secret.
