Ominous predictions and prejudices

I want to ask the reader a question, the answer to which may be completely different from what is stated in this narrative. Do you believe today, in the 21st century, at a time of immense knowledge and pervasive information, do you believe in superstition, prejudice, curses? Especially in a curse? A few words about superstitions and prejudice. Superstition is an uncritical belief that some events and phenomena occur under the influence of supernatural forces and can predict the future; prejudice – an opinion prior to reason or knowledge, prejudice, learned by man is unproven, not critical. After all, still since, although less frequently than before, sometimes around us amazing, inexplicable, still unknown phenomena and events, strange coincidences. Not always and not everyone has enough knowledge to give them the right rating. And people often want to believe in something wonderful, fantastic. Modern psychologists even claim that superstitions sometimes have a therapeutic effect: they reduce, and then they save us from the fear of death, give hope for immortality, calm a person alone, in old age, in some unpleasant, risky circumstances. But curses … It’s already quite another matter. They can be tenacious by suggestion. handed down from generation to generation, and do many misfortunes and troubles. In many ways, revenge under the laws of the curse depends on psyche and psychology of people, their suggestibility, mentality, but more often just an amazing coincidence of events taken people for executing a curse that is then inflated by the press. And here you have a well-known example, when for 150 years whole people believed in a formidable, frightening curse, and which inexplicably and invariably during this time it came true – Curse Tecumseh. The Curse of Tecumseh is a curse on presidents USA to the seventh generation. According to legend, the curse of the presidents of the country betrayed the leader of the Shauni Indian tribe – Tecumseh. In 1811 there was a conflict lasting several years between this tribe Indians and the Governor of Indiana Harrison about taking land from them. The authorities offered the Indians a ransom for the land, but they did not agree and the conflict turned into hostilities. Tecumseh was seriously wounded and before his death he betrayed the curse of the presidents countries up to the seventh generation: those who will be elected per year, ending in “0” and dividing by 20 – will die before completion the term of their presidency. The first victim of the curse was Harrison himself, who was elected president of the USA in 1840 and after several months died of pneumonia. The next victim was the 16th President Abraham Lincoln, elected in 1860 and shot to death theater by John Booth until the end of his term. In 1880 he was elected. 20th President of the United States James Garfield, and six months later was fatally wounded at a Washington train station. In 1900, re-elected 25th US President William McKinley, mortally wounded in the stomach anarchist L. Chelgosh and soon died. Warren Harding – 29th President, was elected in 1920, and three years later was found dead in a downtown san francisco hotel. Presumably – died from a stroke. Franklin Roosevelt, 32nd and Sole President elected – in connection with the Second World War, 4 times – one of the election took place in 1940, suddenly died of hemorrhage in brain during the war, not living to Victory and to completion date presidency. The assassination of young 35th US President John Kennedy, elected in 1960 and shot dead in Dallas in November 1963, completed those seven tribes of presidents predicted by Tecumseh. Has the Tecumseh curse finally lost its power? Ronald Reagan elected in 1980, although he was wounded by a criminal in the lung, but survived. George W. Bush, elected President of the United States in 2000, in who threw a grenade in Georgia, was not injured. How is it all to rate? That these are just random ominous coincidences of doom presidents bloated by the modern press? Or is it some psychic suggestibility and ambition in the minds of criminals – to execute the Tecumseh curse? And now – to the music … And we will see – in something similar happened in this area of art. After second World War, in the 50s, in the US musical world at the same time there were jazz, blues, country, folk, dixieland. Blues: originally – a lyrical song by sad African Americans content, hereinafter, when executed at a fast pace – rock and roll. Country – rural music among the white people of the south and Western United States based on songs and dances of immigrants from Europe. Folk – musical folklore. Dixieland is the main variety traditional jazz in the south of the usa. All these musical trends then united under one name – rock music. Rock today means avant-garde music with many currents, genres and subgenres. Rock music became a world phenomenon thanks to English The Beatles and other bands from around the world. Last decades in England appeared and then spread around the world hard rock – hard rock whose music sounds great the role of the rhythm section – bass and percussion instruments. Hard rock also divided into subgenres and one of them – chevimetal – is special volume, accelerated tempo, distorted and protracted guitar solo, aggressive rhythm, screaming, screeching, extreme, light and pyrotechnic effects, high-range vocals and song themes – Apocalypse, war and sounding in every way – “Live fast, die yound” – “Live quickly die young. “Is it easy for young to create this music and to perform it for the young? How to respond to huge decibels (unit of volume), extreme, themes of the end of the world and suicide – brains, nervous system, psyche and psychology of its creators, performers, listeners? Most often, performers, or rather – almost always, there is either an overdose of the drug, or severe depression. So often in their songs it sounds like the Spleen group: “The rock and roll star should die very soon, darken your voice, melt, burn out. On a frantic code, in guitar solo time – take off. “Or like Alexander Bashlachev’s, rushed down from the window of the St. Petersburg high-rise building: “Well, what are you, dare! We need to fly! Well – from the screw, everything – from the screw! “And these musicians feel something heroic in a similar fate, and only smart ones stop because they understand this as an art form, and not a fatal “fly up” over the edge. That’s where and for what reason the infamous “Club 27” arose. This weird club includes those rock musicians who were successful influenced rock music, have earned a lot, often on top of popularity, but … they shot themselves, hanged themselves, drowned, went over with heroin, or committed suicide in another way – at the age of 27 years. And such in the West – a lot, moreover, the circumstances of their death are usually strange, mysterious. This age is for rock press musicians calls “damned.” Is it surprising if in the songs of many of refrain sounds to them: “Live fast, die young”? What is it? It turns out that the engine of modern rock music is internal combustion of musicians, the so-called “buried in rock, “as the modern press writes? Is it sensible, is everything smart this is? Why, the farther, the more and more in art, in including – in music, aggression, apocalyptic and suicidal topics? Or maybe the eternal seeker is guilty of this, protesting, very suggestible, inexperienced, reckless youth? But, as we will see later, this is not so. To your prejudices and The creators of music and more respectable ages are subject to curses. Here is an example: the curse of the Ninth Symphony, after the creation of which the composer soon dies. German composer Arnold Schoenberg wrote in an obituary on the death of the great Gustav Mahler: “Apparently, Ninth is a certain milestone. Anyone who wants to step over it must leave. Probably the Tenth would have announced to us something that is not given to us to know why we are not yet ripe. Ninth creators fit too close to the other world … “Where did this superstition come from, is it a curse? After all, Haydn wrote 104 symphonies, Mozart – 41, Myaskovsky – 27 … Rumors of a mystical figure 9 crawled around the capital Austria Vienna immediately after the death of the brilliant composer Ludwig van Beethoven, who died in 1827, immediately after writing the Ninth symphonies on the text of the poem “Ode To Joy” by Schiller, the greatest, amazing symphony. By the way, the music of the finale of the Ninth Symphony Beethoven in 1972 was adopted as a European anthem Union. At Beethoven’s funeral, another talented composer – Franz Schubert had a cold, and very young – at 31, died of pneumonia, leaving behind also nine symphonies that only reinforced this sinister superstition. The same thing happened with Czech composer Antonin Dvořák, German composers Anton Bruckner and Gustav Mahler, Russian composer Alexander Glazunov – after the creation of their Ninth Symphony, they died. Knowing about the “curse of the Ninth Symphony”, suspicious and mystical Gustav Mahler even foresaw this at the age of 50. Therefore his The Ninth Symphony is imbued with the main idea – farewell to life. Life and death after the Ninth Symphony of the latter are even more tragic. in the twentieth century, an outstanding classic composer, a citizen of Russia Alfred Schnittke (1934-1998). His German-Jewish background, rejection of his new, modern music by the Union of Composers of the USSR, the inability to publish their works led to the fact that he had four strokes that ended in paralysis, leaving for Permanent residence and treatment, as well as obtaining citizenship in Germany. There in hospital conditions, paralyzed by hand, on a special stand he wrote his last – the Ninth Symphony. But she was not finished, of the four parts the author wrote three, and even then – very inaudible. After the death of Alfred Schnittke, his wife Irina Schnittke turned to her husband’s close friend, composer Nikolai Korndorf asking to decrypt illegible notes scores of the Ninth Symphony and write its finale. This work was in swing when Nikolai Korndorf, young, healthy, cheerful man playing football on the playground with his son suddenly fell dead. These are the tragic events that accompanied the birth Ninth Symphony by Alfred Schnittke, one of the prominent composers Twentieth century. In the end, this symphony was still transcribed and ended by Alexander Raskatov – a composer, a former Muscovite, living now in France. Similar examples of tragic survivability to the consequences of prejudice in the minds of people suggests to what extent a person has not yet studied himself, does not know himself, your own psychology. And to what extent man driven by unreasonable fears, mysticism, suspiciousness, how much we inspire a person, subject to the influence of others, and even directed, deliberate fooling. And that means Dear readers, there is an amazing paradox – for all that the tremendous development of science and technology that has been achieved by humanity, man himself remains a rather weak being, managed that you and I are not completely free in our own, voluntary and worthy choice of life prospects.
