I want to ask the reader a question, the answer to which may be completely different from what is stated in this narrative. Do you believe today, in the 21st century, at a time of immense knowledge and pervasive information, do you believe in superstition, prejudice, curses? Especially in a curse? A few words about superstitions and prejudice. Superstition is an uncritical belief that some events and phenomena occur under the influence of supernatural forces and can predict the future; prejudice – an opinion prior to reason or knowledge, prejudice, learned by man is unproven, not critical. After all, still since, although less frequently than before, sometimes around us amazing, inexplicable, still unknown phenomena and events, strange coincidences. Not always and not everyone has enough knowledge to give them the right rating. And people often want to believe in something wonderful, fantastic. Modern psychologists even claim that superstitions sometimes have a therapeutic effect: they reduce, and then they save us from the fear of death, give hope for immortality, calm a person alone, in old age, in some unpleasant, risky circumstances. But curses … It’s already quite another matter. They can be tenacious by suggestion. handed down from generation to generation, and do many misfortunes and troubles. In many ways, revenge under the laws of the curse depends on psyche and psychology of people, their suggestibility, mentality, but more often just an amazing coincidence of events taken people for executing a curse that is then inflated by the press. And here you have a well-known example, when for 150 years whole people believed in a formidable, frightening curse, and which inexplicably and invariably during this time it came true – Curse Tecumseh. The Curse of Tecumseh is a curse on presidents USA to the seventh generation. According to legend, the curse of the presidents of the country betrayed the leader of the Shauni Indian tribe – Tecumseh. In 1811 there was a conflict lasting several years between this tribe Indians and the Governor of Indiana Harrison about taking land from them. The authorities offered the Indians a ransom for the land, but they did not agree and the conflict turned into hostilities. Tecumseh was seriously wounded and before his death he betrayed the curse of the presidents countries up to the seventh generation: those who will be elected per year, ending in “0” and dividing by 20 – will die before completion the term of their presidency. The first victim of the curse was Harrison himself, who was elected president of the USA in 1840 and after several months died of pneumonia. The next victim was the 16th President Abraham Lincoln, elected in 1860 and shot to death theater by John Booth until the end of his term. In 1880 he was elected. 20th President of the United States James Garfield, and six months later was fatally wounded at a Washington train station. In 1900, re-elected 25th US President William McKinley, mortally wounded in the stomach anarchist L. Chelgosh and soon died. Warren Harding – 29th President, was elected in 1920, and three years later was found dead in a downtown san francisco hotel. Presumably – died from a stroke. Or is it some psychic suggestibility and ambition in the minds of criminals – to execute the Tecumseh curse? And now – to the music … And we will see – in something similar happened in this area of art. After second World War, in the 50s, in the US musical world at the same time there were jazz, blues, country, folk, dixieland. Blues: originally – a lyrical song by sad African Americans content, hereinafter, when executed at a fast pace – rock and roll. Country – rural music among the white people of the south and Western United States based on songs and dances of immigrants from Europe. Folk – musical folklore. Dixieland is the main variety traditional jazz in the south of the usa. All these musical trends then united under one name – rock music. Rock today means avant-garde music with many currents, genres and subgenres. Rock music became a world phenomenon thanks to English The Beatles and other bands from around the world. Well – from the screw, everything – from the screw! “And these musicians feel something heroic in a similar fate, and only smart ones stop because they understand this as an art form, and not a fatal “fly up” over the edge. That’s where and for what reason the infamous “Club 27” arose. This weird club includes those rock musicians who were successful influenced rock music, have earned a lot, often on top of popularity, but … they shot themselves, hanged themselves, drowned, went over with heroin, or committed suicide in another way – at the age of 27 years. And such in the West – a lot, moreover, the circumstances of their death are usually strange, mysterious. This age is for rock press musicians calls “damned.” Is it surprising if in the songs of many of refrain sounds to them: “Live fast, die young”? What is it?
