How did the temperature of the earth’s surface change? In order to answer this question, scientists have collected temperature information for 130 years with 1000 weather stations in different parts of the world and combined them with modern satellite data. It turned out impressive video clip. The mini-film shows the temperature changes in planetary scale relative to local average temperature mid 1900s. Red means warming, blue means cooling. According to scientists, over the past 130 years the temperature on Earth rose by almost 1 degree Celsius. Many of the hottest periods have occurred in recent years. Earlier University of Minnesota cellist student Daniel Crawford also drew historical data on temperature changes from 1880 to 2012 years. The information expressed in numbers, he turned into sound. The tonal changes in this amazing melody depend from the temperature of a given year. The coldest year – 1909 – corresponds to the lowest note. The entire temperature curve spanned three octaves.
