Scientists from Brazil reported that for the first time in history observations of air temperature in Antarctica exceeded 20 degrees Celsius and amounted to 20.75 degrees. Record Temperature scientists watched in surprise on February 9, 2020 at Seymour Island, located in the northern Antarctic peninsula.
Currently, the data voiced by scientists is being checked World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Fixed the indicator exceeded by one degree the temperature observed in January 1982 on Signy Island (it was 19.8 degrees then Celsius).
