A teenager who has lost arms and legs at the age of 9 months has become the first person in the UK to receive a bionic brush which is controlled using a smartphone.
At the age of 9 months, Patrick Kane became infected meningococcal infection, leading to the development of sepsis. Doctors saved the child by sacrificing his limbs: the boy had to Amputate parts of the fingers on the right hand and right shin.

On Patrick’s first birthday, his parents gave him prostheses, which replaced the boy with missing parts of the body for 15 years. And for the 16th anniversary of the teenager, father and mother prepared a surprise for him – exclusive bionic limb.
