The remains of the unlucky robber were found only ten days later. After combing the neighborhood, the police discovered a pond and an alligator. Forensic experts opened the body of the reptile and found human remains in its stomachs. DNA analysis testified that it was Matthew Riggins, who had been in wanted.
At the moment, the family of the deceased intends to sue policemen – supposedly they were obliged to protect the criminal from a fierce predator. Paradoxically, but according to American law, such a lawsuit may well be accepted in court, and police may well may lose in this lawsuit.
