Scientists from France invented the unusual Skin On device, which resembles human skin. Reports edition “N + 1”.
This device has several uses, for example, as a case for a smartphone. Of course, this device is not created from someone’s skin, but only its synthetic imitation.
Skin On consists of two layers of silicone, between which are wires. This allows the device to respond to various actions. the user, for example, pressure, light flip flops, tweaks and twisting.
The inventors also demonstrated the operation of this device, having tested on games instead of a joystick. It can be used as touchpad, and can perform the function of a regular cover for a smartphone.
Scientists believe that this device can be used to control robots, as well as to simulate their “sensitive” skin cover.
