It turns out that in the atmosphere of the Earth there is antimatter, which can manifest under certain conditions in thunderclouds. Exactly such a cluster of about two kilometers in diameter, discovered by American scientists.
They write that the Gulfstream V plane hit a thundercloud near USA coast of Georgia, and recorded at that moment a triple a peak of gamma radiation of five hundred kiloelectron-volts, even comparatively insignificant duration. However the same instant lightning is not able to do this, which gave rise to researchers assume that the antimatter of the Universe has been discovered in the cloud.
The reason for its appearance, scientists considered the span of the aircraft through a cloud that came with positrons and could cause annihilation of matter and antimatter. Other scientists, for example, Jasper Kirkby of CERN, agreeing to the possibility of antimatter in a thundercloud through which an airplane flies, only doubt the amount of antimatter. In their opinion, antimatter in this case cannot reach such colossal parameters.
Studies of antimatter arising in thunderclouds, continues, today scientists intend to launch for this purpose similar clouds special balloons and use a plane A-10 with increased protection, on which the most modern hypersensitive equipment.
