The largest Greek island of Crete is experiencing a unique natural phenomenon – it was covered by an African dust storm, and therefore everything here turned into some kind of fantastic blood red color. The island has become more like Mars, as we often presented in photographs by the American aerospace agency NASA
According to the publication Cretalive.gr, the inhabitants of the island in the majority stay at home, many institutions and all schools are closed, visibility on the streets is almost zero. Those who still have this time to leave home, forced to wear masks, because breathe on the street without this it is impossible and even very dangerous to health.
This is what the Greek meteorologist Manolis says about this. Lenkas:
This is a very serious case for Crete, such here never was, I personally do not remember such an “apocalypse.” Only think, the concentration of particulate matter in the air now exceeds the norm is ninety times, this has not been recorded in Crete even once. The reason for the storm was high pressure, because of which the movement began air from the coast of Africa, and therefore warm air masses they brought this terrible red dust to the island.
