Deadly danger looms over the world

A photo open source Image: Global Look Press Calmness and stability, it seems, will not soon reign in current world. Gradually receding financial crisis, pretty much battered American and European economies giving way new global adversity, the consequences of which could be much more serious and unpredictable. According to RBC with reference to Citigroup’s Vox Populi Risk study, the world collided with a new threat, which is an increase in political risks. According to the study, the number of government crises and 54% more mass protests over the past three years than in the previous ten years. Special attention Citigroup experts pay attention to the risks associated with the growth of mass protests in different countries. They classify these risks as Vox Populi. (“voice of the people” translated from Latin). Moreover, if not so long ago mass demonstrations took place mainly at the regional level, today they are becoming global. A driving the power of protests is increasingly becoming the middle class, expressing dissatisfaction with the inefficiency of political institutions, as well as corruption of the ruling elites. According to the authors of the study, the new the trend will have serious consequences. At least this inhibition of political and economic reforms and weakening political coalitions. Significantly more dangerous will be such manifestations like the rise of nationalism, riots, coups and civil wars. In that the modern world is changing rapidly, everything remains doubt smaller. The reasons lie in the contradictions inherent in existing socio-political models formed in the years confrontation of two systems. The disappearance of this confrontation with the collapse of the USSR and the resulting vacuum led to accelerated erosion and destruction of these models. Modern capitalism bursting at the seams under pressure, on the one hand, socialist trends and multiculturalism, on the other – being a reaction to them nationalistic aspirations. All this shakes the foundations of the western civilization. It still plays a decisive role in the global development, but is rapidly losing strength under the pressure of new growing systems. What might be the consequences of these risks? Definitely It is difficult to answer this question. We can only assume that the current situation is somewhat reminiscent of the time preceding the beginning World War I As you know, the crisis led to her colonial patterns of world order and growing socio-political and territorial contradictions in Europe. Some indirect signs of the catastrophe are beginning to appear already now. There is no doubt that they are of a global nature you have to – at least take a look at the geography of the “Arab spring” and mass anti-capitalist protests. It all spills out in “third world” or other global trouble, say today impossible. But the foreboding of global change is literally diffused in in the air.
