Robotics designers from Tokyo University presented their new invention, which has no analogues yet. Japanese scientists have developed the world’s first miniature drone multi-rotor helicopter called “Dragon”, capable of changing into fly your uniform.
The “Electric Dragon,” as its creators call it, represents several independent modules interconnected by means of rotary units with electric motors. In opposite multicopter “tails” are jerky mechanisms that change the direction of its movement.
Miracle drone can contract, stretch, push to the side some of its parts, grab loads with the frame, carry out complex acrobatic stunts and fly into narrow openings wherever that standard multicopters of the same power will not squeeze through. In a word – wagon …
By turning on the video below, you can see the work of the prototype model “Dragon”. In the future, the Japanese are planning improve the drone’s battery (while its capacity is enough 3 minutes flight), increase the number of drone modules to 12 pieces, and, most importantly, find your brainchild practical application.
