This information will be useful (albeit unexpected) for those who loves turning around in front of a mirror. As it turned out, there is direct relationship between long pastime near mirrors and, oddly enough, overeating.
Dutch scientists have conducted an interesting experiment involving more than a hundred volunteers. Some of them regularly had to look in the mirror, but others were strictly forbidden. Eventually it turned out that the more meticulously and carefully examined people reflected, the more often they opened the refrigerator. And they did this, even when fed up. At the same time, the participants in the experiment, not looking in the mirror, such behavior was not shown.
It should be noted that the result was surprising researchers. However, another experiment confirms that excessive attention to their appearance leads to overeating.
One group of volunteers was shown commercials where emphasis was placed on the appearance, and the other – neutral videos. IN as a result, the first group ate more than the second.
In theory, people who attach great importance to their appearance, should be limited in food to maintain a figure. However For some reason, the human psyche works “in the opposite direction.”
