Australians Cedar and Stuart Andersons (father and son) are engaged beekeeping and well know all its subtleties, and several years ago decided to use high technology in such a far from modern urban dweller.

Every beekeeper knows that pulling out honeycombs from the hive is not very nicely. The bees, alarmed by the invasion, can actually show who is the boss in the house. Anderson Brothers Invention Helps Avoid similar problems. It is called Flow Hive, which means “flow from the hive. ”

So, the bees fill honeycombs that traditionally hold on the frame. Then, using the lever that is outside the hive, the beekeeper flips the frame – and fresh honey begins smoothly drain into a special gutter, and from there to a jar. When the honeycomb is full will be cleaned of honey, the frame with the help of a lever is turned into initial position.

Each frame gives about three kilograms of honey, while it can be assembled in a very short time: from twenty minutes to two hours (depending on the viscosity and temperature of honey).

This approach is convenient both for beekeepers and for the bees themselves, say the inventors. The less a person intervenes in life the bee family, the calmer the insects.

The authors of Flow Hive spent several years improving their offspring. They already had time to test it and discuss the pros and Cons of the invention with Australian, American and Canadian farmers.

In the future, with the aim of popularization and industrial production Flow Hive brothers plan to resort to crowdfunding Kickstarter platforms. The price of the new item will be announced there.
