This harp seal cub has been discovered by oil workers. Nenets Autonomous Okrug who work in the field “black gold” named Trebs and Titov.
Bashkir oil producers accidentally saw a small seal near the road and immediately contacted the rescuers, because even at first glance it was clear that this cub was completely helpless. And how did he end up here ?! However when rescuers arrived at the point indicated by the oilmen, they did not find the animal on location. As it turned out later, the seal crawled into the tundra. In his search took part several rescuers who are closer to the night (already the twilight was gathering) still found the baby, found safe and sound, only very hungry.
People carefully fed the little seal with fresh fish, and then they took him to the Barents Sea and released him to his native element. It was it’s not clear just how this baby was in the tundra, about two hours by car from the sea. Crawl like that he simply couldn’t distance physically. According to reporters “Interfax”, most likely, the poachers caught the seal, and he only on the road, by some miracle, he “escaped” from them. Or they, fortunately baby, they themselves lost it, for example, very tipsy …
