How to chew food properly – slowly and for a long time, or, how does most people do quickly and how come? On this account there are opposing opinions of scientists.

More recently, the theory prevailed that the longer you chew food in the mouth, the better it is absorbed by the body. However soon scientists have determined that this is far from the case. Turns out too holding and processing food for a long time in the oral cavity, we thereby deprive the stomach of his usual work. And he just atrophies like muscles of the legs atrophy, say, if you do not get out of bed. Therefore, everything needs a middle ground.

The other day, Korean scientists (South Korea) conducted an experiment in during which they are using the most advanced appliances analyzed how men and women chew food, are there any differences in this? Tests showed: men chew more slowly, women are faster, although eating speed is approximately same. Just men bite off more, and I put more effort when clenching the jaw.

But the most striking result of Korean researchers: chewing style does not affect the weight of a person, and this, especially we emphasize, it means only one thing – a longer chewing food does not facilitate its assimilation by the body, just like other scientists said before. In addition, too prolonged chewing may well ruin your stomach.
