John Hensby, near whose house a funnel appeared, ties the appearance of holes in the ground with lead mining in this area in the 19th century. Farmer reports that small holes appear in the area sometimes, but never there was such a big funnel like this. If in a sheep or a dog fell in a hole, even getting an animal would be impossible.
