They just drowned in their own honey. And it happened in the result of another traffic accident. Truck, which transported more than seventy cell frames, in each of of which there were twenty thousand bees, crashed into a “car”, resulting in damage to the framework.
True, the surviving bees in their own way “avenged” people: they attacked the police, passers-by and rescuers who were nearby or arrived at the scene of the accident.
France is considered one of the main European countries with good developed beekeeping. Suffice it to say that there are almost seventy thousand beekeepers.
However, the above case is not the only one when insects die in traffic accidents, almost “choking” in their own honey. Recently, a truck rolled over in the United States, carrying nearly twenty million bees, many of which also died. Damage due to accident in France is estimated at only seven thousand Euro. It’s not so bad if you do not take into account the bitten people.
