In German national parks and reserves massively disappear winged insects. Over the past 3 decades, Germany has disappeared 75-82 percent of flying insects. Local ecologists are convinced that the consequences of what happened will be very serious, and for the whole Europe, because, for sure, the same picture is in neighboring countries.
Researchers Turned to Estimate Winged Insects in 60 national parks and reserves of Germany, made in 1989 year, and then calculated how many approximately insects live there now. The results of this study unpleasantly hit specialists. It turned out that insects are massively dying here, and the vast majority of them have already disappeared forever. At their pace soon will not be here at all.
Perhaps it’s the fault of numerous agricultural areas where insecticides are constantly sprayed just for the purpose destruction of supposedly harmful bugs and spiders, or the whole thing is modern insect repellent electronics. Until scientists can find a reason for this and have no idea how counteract such a terrifying trend.
Many German environmentalists are convinced that the government underestimates the magnitude of this disaster. Population decline insects will certainly entail irreversible consequences for of all ecosystems, because insects pollinate plants, including agricultural, and serve as food for many others animals.
It’s enough to mention that the other day the research results a similar plan was published by NABU – Environmental Protection Union Germany. Environmentalists in shock: the number of bird pairs in Germany in just one the decade was down 12.7 million, or 15 percent. Not to associate this with the catastrophic extinction of insects is simply impossible …
