On Wednesday, July 20th, a Russian private company “Aeromechanics” in the Moscow region tested its amazing offspring – a compact gyrocopter “Micron”.
Ultralight personal helicopter has how tiny sizes, which is more like a chair equipped with screws and a tail. Nevertheless, according to the inventors, flying on it as much as possible comfortable and safe. Such an aircraft, among other things folds up and can be placed in a caravan or minibus.
The place for testing the Mikron was the Voskresensk air center. The gyrocopter is capable of speeds up to one hundred and twenty kilometers in hour, and its mass is one hundred and fifteen kilograms. Helicopter with easily sits on almost any unprepared surface and so it easily takes off from them, but the diameter of the free space must be at least ten meters. Range of flight miracle machines are calculated, according to “Aeromechanics”, hundreds kilometers.
Our compatriots plan to launch Mikron in serial production, while the cost of the gyrocopter will be enough low. Such an apparatus can, for example, be kept at the cottage plot and use for entertainment, as well as for full moving from one point of the country to another.
It is assumed that such helicopters will not require their owners of registration in Rosaviatsiya and receiving pilot testimonials.
However, a number of Russian aeronautics specialists have already noted that this is unlikely. In the order of the Federal Air Transport Agency of 2010 clearly means that any citizen of our country, the manager gyrocopter or gyroplane, must learn to manage ultralight aircraft and go through medical survey. After that, he will be issued a pilot certificate valid in all member countries International Civil Aviation Organization.
