Under Magadan in the Sea of Okhotsk, a flock of carnivorous dolphins or simply killer whales attacked a fishing boat, as reported representative of EMERCOM of Russia in this area. There were two in the boat, one the fisherman managed to escape by jumping ashore, the second disappeared without the news most likely fell prey to marine predators.
According to biologists, the case is unprecedented, since these sea animals, despite all their bloodthirstiness, never attack people, although they can swim near boats, creating for fishermen nervous situation. No joke, killer whales reach ten meters in length and weigh up to eight tons – such a sea monster can flip the boat, if desired, with ease. In this case for some reason, the predators of the North Sea decided not just to scare the fishermen, and attack people’s watercraft.
As one Internet user suggested, killer whales very smart sea animals with excellent memory. Rather of one of them, one of the people has done evil, for example, seriously injured. In this case, the animal may well decide on revenge because because of hunger these smart predators never attack people.
Emergencies Ministry divers await weather improvements to be able to examine the bottom in the area of killer whale attack – this off the coast, and it’s possible that the body of the missing fisherman or something from him will certainly show up. But … while the sea is high waves, which does not allow to conduct searches …
