Promising domestic company “HoverSurf” engaged in the development of flying motorcycles (or scientific hoverbikes), made a public test flight of her brainchild called “HoverBike Scorpion-3.” Presentation of advanced Russian development was held on the racetrack “Moscow Raceway” in Volokolamsk district Moscow region in front of hundreds of spectators.

Tests of an innovative hoverbike took place during international road racing competition. Pilot raised a flying motorcycle to a height of about a meter and overcame such way a whole kilometer above the track. Numerous observers from from different countries of the world came from this spectacle in a real delight, because before on Russian autodromes nothing like this demonstrated.

HoverBike Scorpion-3 reportedly runs on 4 powerful electric motors. This motorcycle hybrid is driven and quadrocopter with two joysticks. Weight the device is 150 kilograms, and a third of them accounts for the battery. So far the hoverbike is developing maximum speed of about 70 kilometers per hour and rises to the air is not higher than 5 meters. Full battery lasts for half an hour flight, and reloading lasts 4 hours. Domestic craftsmen intend further significantly improve each of these parameters.

It is planned that in the future “HoverBike Scorpion-3” will go to sale. The cost of one device will be 50-80 thousand dollars.
