Prohibit a pig from receiving from the public
In June 1981 USSR Ministry of Health officially banned the reception of pigs from the population, as evidenced by the document “Sanitary rules for the harvesting and processing of mushrooms. “Pigs disappeared from the registry permitted for procurement. However, people continued to collect them stubbornly for their homework, why three years later at the insistence deputy the country’s chief sanitary officer, pigs were listed in discharge of poisonous.
Why did a nerd die from an edible pig?
The first dangerous properties of these fungi were identified in 1944. Deutsch nerd Julius Schaeffer. The scientist ate the pigs and after more than two weeks died of acute renal failure. However the riddle unraveled mushrooms (only in the mid-80s of the last century) famous Swiss physician Rene Flammer, who then wrote, that Julius Schaeffer did not die because he was poisoned by a dish from pigs, but because, apparently, he loved to feast on these mushrooms. However, at that time, as we have already said, in the USSR were already banned.

The secret of the insidious pig
Many Soviet mushroom pickers, including experienced mushroom pickers, are eager collected a pig (and still collect) and without fear consumed without feeling characteristic symptoms after a meal poisoning. It is this circumstance, as they claimed, and proved the edibility of these mushrooms. In reality, pigs are not only poisonous, but also very insidious, because in many contain specific toxins that are not destroyed even when repeated and prolonged cooking.
If sows are consumed regularly, toxins in the body accumulate. And although the signs of acute poisoning in humans absent, the poison does its dirty deed: causes the appearance of antibodies that destroy blood cells – red blood cells. The consequence this can be jaundice, anemia, renal and hepatic diseases. Death can occur at any time, for this does not even need another serving of mushrooms (as happened with German botanist). So the pig can be compared to a time bomb, and therefore consider this mushroom edible by no means impossible.
