Italian scientists from Palermo synthesized an artificial eye, which after significant refinement can be implanted deprived of one or both organs of vision of patients. The prosthesis will be act as a “native” eye, allowing the owner to see objects surrounding it.
According to Italians, a conceptual technology that has received laconic name “Eye”, will return to an eyeless person not only aesthetic appearance of the face, but also vision. Artificial biological eye sending impulses to central nervous system will be “printed out” on a special 3D printer-like device. Nonetheless, such implants so far allow patients only to distinguish between light and the darkness. The vast majority of planetary scientists agree what is the future for biological eye prostheses that will allow to return the sight to the blind or to acquire it if they are blind from birth, with absolute quality. By the way, with the help of such prostheses, perhaps humanity in the future will be freed from points and contact lenses.
