E2V has developed a non-lethal weapon that is capable of turn off the engines of cars and small boats from a distance of 50 meters in 3 seconds.
Her device, called “RF Safe-Stop”, weighs approximately 350 kilogram, and today it was experimentally installed on Nissan Nevara and Toyota Land Cruiser cars for temporary shutdown of electronic systems of cars. The company recently demonstrated RF Safe-Stop at the exhibition DSEi and according to Wood, the technology has attracted the interest of 17 countries and 5 UK government organizations.
According to him, the acceptance of orders for the system will begin in the coming weeks, and adds that the company’s team can customize the RF Safe-Stop according to customer needs.
