Colony released from Polish nuclear bunker cannibal ants. With such frightening headlines made local media, although in reality the situation is somewhat different.
It all started with how several years ago, researchers discovered a colony of ants in an abandoned Soviet nuclear bunker. Insects caught in it could not get out on the surface and through the ventilation hole fell down. Considering, that they didn’t have food and access to light, their numbers were still grew, eventually exceeded a million.
It turned out that the ants were able to survive by eating their dead relatives. When scientists discovered the passage to the surface, then everything insects fled and became the most common, going to natural nutrition system.
Previously, a video appeared on the web that recorded a reaction ant colony on a working “iPhone.”
