Engineers of the German company “Festo” created artificial bionic insects. Robotic ants called up reliably copy the behavior of their living brothers, they can become a real sensation.

The Germans plan to create universal mechanisms with group intelligence and able to jointly solve various problems. Robotic ants, for example, will be able to work in factories, helping simple workers.
Plastic cases of mechanical insects were printed on special 3D printer. Ants are equipped with highly efficient ceramic paws with grips. In the head of every robot there is a stereo camera that allows him to navigate in space and recognize the objects with which you need to interact. Thanks to the wireless network, ants carry transferring information to each other.
From the thirteenth to the seventeenth of April the Germans will present their brainchild at the famous Hanover technology exhibition “Hannover Messe. ”
