One of the greatest mysteries of our planet is the Mariana Trench. She still remains virtually unexplored. However, even those small information that scientists received about this very deep sea points of our planet surprise and even frighten us in some way.
Firstly, even the fact that on such a breathtaking depth is life. Secondly, in this case, researchers are faced not only with primitive marine animals adapted to life in these fantastic conditions, but also with some mysterious phenomena about which plainly we don’t know anything and are not yet able to get closer to studying these secrets of nature.
Given all this, Russian scientists planned a study Mariana Trench, and for this is already being prepared special equipment – bathyscaphe “Vityaz” and special bottom station. This is what the project manager says about it, implemented by the Advanced Research Foundation (FPI), Victor Litvinenko:
We plan to descend into the Mariana Trench in the fall 2019 year. Before that, we have to work out the dive, which will occur already in the coming spring in the Black Sea. Then in the summer let’s move to the Pacific Ocean, so that by the fall be ready to conquer of the greatest world depth. Everything is going according to plan, all the necessary equipment is being prepared by specialists of the Central design bureau of marine equipment “Rubin” – it is completely reliable and quickly, by January, the necessary hardware will already be done …
And although the FPI officially stated that the goal of immersion in Mariana deepening is the development of deep-sea technology, however associated tasks such as seabed mapping, collection samples of soil and water and so on, suggests that Russian scientists set themselves much broader tasks, including relating to exploring possible life at this fantastic depth. And who knows, maybe some secrets of her will be at least a little ajar. It is no coincidence that many are waiting for this dive, and not only scientists, but also ordinary people who are interested in everything what is beyond understanding modern academic science…
