The future can be imagined as you like, but it is indispensable – fanatically beautiful and very comfortable to stay. So man is arranged that he seeks, at least in his fantasies, to imagine the future life is certainly beautiful.

But only in fantasies? For example, scientists are constantly working so that, as once sung in one of the Soviet songs, make a fairy tale come true.

It is for this purpose that the engineers of the Massachusetts Technological institutes are working today to create living luminous plants, which could in the future illuminate the streets of cities and other residential arrays, for example, of the same country houses, while not consuming energy and independently adjusting the lighting around you. However, living lamps will not interfere in the house … It’s just fantastic, isn’t it whether!

Today, American explorers of New England are real come close to creating nano-light emitting plants, thereby proving that a similar concept of future lighting is quite real.

For today’s experiment, scientists took a salad chair, which in eventually becoming a chair-salad-nanoparticle, managed, not very bright, but glow for almost four hours. The result gives hope that in the future it is quite possible to cultivate luminous plants, and those that will burn brightly, and ignite spontaneously, and even multiply, thereby replacing many technological processes, and, ultimately, doing life, as we have already mentioned, is more convenient and beautiful. Not in vain same science fiction, say, of the cult movie “Avatar” by James, shows to us personally, how all this is inimitably magnificent – living luminous plants.

The challenge is to create such unique plants that will function, roughly speaking, like lamps: they will not need to be connected anywhere, because the light in them will become created by the energy of internal metabolism, – explains Institute professor Michael Strano.

Note that previous attempts to create luminous plants on basis of genetic modification have not been successful. For example, one of projects of a similar plan cost almost half a million dollars, so and without bringing any results, after which it was closed.

Well, let’s hope that today’s experience of engineers Massachusetts Institute of Technology will spill out in the near the future with truly impressive results – in terms of “natural light”. As they say, dashing trouble is the beginning. Remember, for example, what were the first computers and even the first hard drives (three-ton unit for several megabytes of capacity), and what do we have now? So do not despair in terms of “living electrification “of our planet …
