Engineers from St. Petersburg University came up with new applications for the existing brain-computer neural interface. In fact, their development in the future will allow the power of thought to control any digital device – from the banal inclusion of a computer to manipulations with a bionic hand.
Neurophysiologists have already found that the use of such communicators allows you to successfully rehabilitate patients after stroke and also inhibits brain degeneration.
“As a new channel of communication with the outside world – it’s very an interesting channel, but the technology, I admit, is crude and we are one of the first ones who are trying, first of all, through enthusiasm to convey to people the prospects of such developments, “- said Project Manager Vitaliy Zubchenko.
