Environmental danger today lies in wait for mankind, as said from all over. Norwegian scientists have discovered another factor of impending environmental disaster – the “dark zone” on the great ice sheet of Greenland.
In case of rapid melting of this ice mass and, therefore, a sharp rise in sea level, really many territories on Earth can sink, whole port gulfs cities. The fact is that the detected “dark zone”, the size of approximately 400 per 100 kilometers is a layer of dust and the soot that settled here as a result of human activity and forest fires. On this darker surface of the glacier sharply the reflectivity of the sun’s rays is reduced, which is why the cold massif Greenland absorbs energy more intensively and melts faster.

The “dark zone” also increases due to algae, which multiply rapidly in thawed water, thereby contributing accelerate this process leading to real environmental disaster. So far, Norwegian scientists do not know how to deal with this. disaster, offering to tackle this problem, as says the whole world, connecting the best minds of mankind.
