Inventors from the University of Colorado created electronic skin that can sense touch and change temperature.

Electronic skin (e-skin) is a transparent material that mimics live skin. This material is capable of measure temperature, pressure, humidity and even vibration air.

According to the developers, this device will add artificial limbs sensitivity. With this technology, man will be able to control the compression force when interacting with brittle subjects.

According to developers, the device has good prospects for application in robotics. For example, the ability to control temperature, can be used in healthcare for patient care.

Electronic skin can easily dissolve in special fluids, and also recover quickly. In case of small damage, a special solution is applied to the faulty area, which after some time, it will restore the chemical damaged on the skin communication. If necessary, electronic skin can be fully dissolve and recreate again to continue it using.
