Researchers believe that in our three-dimensional reality, everything occurs over time, or as in four-dimensional reality where nothing happens. If this is the second option, it turns out that nothing really happens, since everything located simultaneously in the past, present and future.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Physicist Max Tegmark declares that we are in the illusion that the past is already passed, the future does not exist, while everything changes. Everything, that the person is aware – the usual current state of the brain, and the only the reason he is sure that he exists is his memories.
British physicist Julian Barbour, author of several publications on topic of time, completely agree with Tegmark’s conclusions. According to Barbour, throughout our lives we rush through the events of new times. They may be different. It can be imagined as a landscape or a certain country. Any point in this country is now, and I I can call this country Platonia, since it exists outside time and formed by perfect mathematical rules.
Barbour believes that the only evidence of the past week is the memory of man. For example, stones and minerals are the only evidence of the past of our planet. However it is just stable structures that are stored in the form of minerals, and which we are considering at the moment. In fact, all that we are – these are the “records” that exist right now.
