Panasonic at Panasonic’s latest IFA 2014 introduced a prototype of its new product – interactive mirror. The device is positioned by developers as another solutions for the implementation of the concept of “smart” home, as well as for applications in beauty salons and department stores. Besides simple reflection, the mirror is able to conduct a full analysis of the exterior user and provide some tips for improving it.

Recognition Technology Underlies Smart Mirroring faces used in the Panasonic Lumix camera line. Mirror analyzes the reflection of a person, studies in detail the condition of the skin and creates a holographic image of the face. With this image the user can experiment with makeup, cosmetic tricks, hairstyle changes – without the need for everything do it on your face. The mirror displays a status chart. various parameters and draws the user’s attention to problematic moments (shiny forehead, pimple, dark circles under the eyes or unevenly applied tone). In addition, the mirror will give a number cosmetic tips to address these shortcomings as well nutritional recommendations, information on cosmetic devices and instructions for various manipulations.
Also, the mirror can be synchronized with the calendar in the smartphone, in order for it to preselect several images to for any event, for example, for a Christmas party, a mirror selects makeup that matches the evening lighting with elements shine and hairstyle for special occasions.
Currently, the Panasonic mirror has prototype status and the company is working to improve it, but visitors exhibitions have already been delighted.
