Solar activity paralyzes humanity in 2013 year

A powerful solar flare in 2013 could lead to global chaos, causing shutdown and disruption of systems satellite communications. NASA warns peak magnetic solar energy cycle and the number of sunspots and outbreaks in 2013 can generate very powerful radiation. As a result, solar storms can cause the most powerful geomagnetic storms on Earth, disabling all over electrical networks for hours or even months, which is why habitual life is broken.

A powerful solar flare caught by the camera on September 8th. Scientists fear that solar activity could wreak havoc on Earth in 2013 year.

British Secretary of Defense Liam Fox, who spoke at an international conference on vulnerabilities electric networks with a keynote, warned that the dependence of modern society on technology makes it too vulnerable to such events. The sun follows its 11 year cycle periods with high and low activity. Currently, at the end “calm” phase, scientists expect to see a sharp increase in the number solar flares as well as an unprecedented level of magnetic energy. Solar attacks have the power of a hundred hydrogen bombs and can cause twenty times more economic damage than Hurricane Katrina.

Liam Fox pointed to the need to develop protection systems against this natural phenomenon and noted that a nuclear explosion in orbit can cause similar destructive consequences, i.e. is available and the military need for measures to protect civilians from destruction of infrastructure.
