The fact that surgeons often leave in the abdominal cavity of patients their tools, has already become a byword. However, usually such a medical mistake quickly makes itself felt and therefore a negligent surgeon may be held accountable.
However, as a unique case with a Vietnamese shows, this is sometimes just impossible to do. The local newspaper reported that the 54-year-old a resident of Vietnam recently got into an accident, after which he was sent to hospital. By making an X-ray for damage to the patient during accident, doctors were surprised to find in his abdominal cavity surgical scissors.
The patient has confirmed that he has recently been troubled by pain in stomach, however the first and last time he lay on the operating room the table exactly 18 years ago, after again, automobile disaster. It was then in his body that this one could be forgotten surgical instrument.

By removing the scissors, the doctors realized why they had recently become to hurt the patient: for 18 years, the instrument is rusted and rusty scissor handles began to literally stick to internal organs, causing discomfort. It’s not clear just why almost two ten years, scissors did not interfere with a man.
Attract a surgeon who performed the operation 18 years ago and forgot scissors in the abdomen of his patient is simply impossible: during Vietnam’s medical history and operations are only 15 years old.
However, the patient himself was not going to complain about the negligent surgeon, believing that the worst doctor is better than the best medical robot. In his opinion, which he expressed reporters, surgical robots that are increasingly being introduced into modern medical facilities are much more dangerous than a living doctor, since they are even more imperfect than man.
