Australian scientists have reported that throughout the last weeks orbiting satellites observing weather changes in Antarctica, recorded a sharp stratospheric warming. Given warming was recorded at an altitude of about 50 kilometers.
In recent years, this phenomenon was not rare. In such periods air temperature in the stratosphere rises very quickly, due to which disrupts local circulation in the atmosphere, and cold air gradually rises up. Cold streams of air begin shift towards the equator.

In 2018, Europe has already suffered from an unusually cold winter, which was a consequence of the above phenomenon. Then the media given the phenomenon was nicknamed the “Beast from the East.” The cold went through Siberia and went towards Great Britain, in which, as local wrote publications, even fireplaces froze.

A similar phenomenon again repeated in 2019 in the United States. Next Australia and New will be next in line for the weather forecasters Zealand, in which summer stood out unusually cold.
By predicting further air movement, scientists found that the peak of warming is expected by August 30, and the cooling in Australia will begin in mid-September. Experts believe that these abnormal phenomena are associated with unknown processes, occurring in the Earth’s magnetic field.
