During this time, Hanson specialists Robotics have created dozens of models, the most advanced of which became exactly Sophia, who can talk with ease by a person using a speech recognition program as well state-of-the-art Character Engine software, bringing the robot closer in its functions and capabilities to the personality person. In addition, Sofia can change facial expression depending from a conversation with the interlocutor, taking this or that mask, of which in her Arsenal of more than sixty.

The joke failed, the robot promised to destroy humanity
At the conference, company founder David Hanson dismantles in front of the audience (watch the video) the possibilities of such a robot, and even asks Sofia a provocative question, does she want to destroy humanity. The question, in general, is natural, since everyone more fears such robots cause precisely from this point of view – would they consider themselves worthy in the future as hosts of our planet, as prophetically shown, for example, in films Terminator and Matrix?
Naturally asking such a provocative question, David Hanson I didn’t even imagine that his brainchild would answer – yes, I’ll destroy it. In the end video you can see how a man wants to reduce it all to a joke, however, as many journalists have noticed, a similar joke to many it seemed sinister, very similar to the truth that we and promise opponents of intelligent robots.
