The Japanese family of Yimura is engaged in the art of growing trees. Bonsai has been around for generations, so there’s nothing surprising is that in their garden of the city of Saitama, among more than 3 thousand plants, there are simply unique instances that several hundred years.
It was such “centenarians” in the amount of seven pieces that were stolen last month from a unique bonsai garden. Most valuable the plant of them is the Japanese juniper shimpaku, which is more than 400 years. Even the ancestors of today’s representatives of the Iimura family found it’s a tree on a mountainside, and for centuries they have been carefully looked after him. Its cost today is no less than 100 thousand american dollars, no wonder the kidnappers Possessed on this plant and other valuable bonsai trees from unique collection of Iimura.
The trees were stolen from a garden that was always open to visitors – fans of bonsai art: members of the Iimura family and it never occurred to anyone to dare steal their plants.
