Small snakes sometimes fall into the city sewer and then through the toilet even climb into the apartment. But so that python did and attacked a man – even in Australia never heard of.
… The other day, 59-year-old Helen Richards, who came to stay with to relatives in Brisbane (the capital of the Australian state Queensland) was scared to death when in the toilet on her pounced python. According to the English newspaper Daily Mail, the snake not just sneaked into the toilet, but also tried to bite a woman.
Helen immediately called rescuers from the zoological society: there is such a service in Australia, because from all kinds of snakes, spiders, crocodiles and even kangaroos people here suffer constantly.
Local snake hunter Jasmine Zeleni caught an uninvited a guest who turned out to be a 1.5 meter rhombic python, and, taking him away from the dwelling, let him out into the pond. That’s what she told reporters:
Rhombic python is not toxic and generally quite harmless. However, in the heat even these reptiles often crawl into human housing in search of water and coolness, for example to the bathroom the room. Something similar apparently happened with this python, since Australia is now very hot: aiming for water, he got to the sewer, and from there to the apartment. I must say that in my 25 years of practice is the first time that a python has attacked person. That’s why I immediately sent Richards to the clinic, to get a tetanus shot.
Jasmine Zeleny also appealed to Brisbane residents not to drive pythons in such cases back to the sewer, because otherwise they may appear in other apartments.
By the way, last month another Australian woke up because a rhomboid python climbed into her bed, only much larger – four meters long. True this woman the snake was not afraid, but simply picked up a 20-pound handsome mop and carried out to the trash cans. And then she fell asleep again as if nothing had happened. And only in the morning did she feel retroactively some shock, but as they say, all is well, which is good ends …
